You can now find, and more importantly talk to, the Law Commission on Facebook.

Law Commission President Douglas White says one of the Commission's defining features is that it consults with people.

"We want people to be able to communicate with us many different ways and Facebook is one of those options. If you have got a comment or idea about work we are doing then you can send us a message on Facebook or Twitter. You can still call us, email us, or write to us."

Currently, nearly 2,000 people are following the Commission on Twitter but only a handful have found it on Facebook since it went public a few weeks ago.

"Facebook is a forum where people who are interested in the issues can not only communicate with us but can communicate with each other, sharing, debating and refining ideas about how to improve the law," says Douglas White.
